The TR-116 is a hand-operated projectile weapon used in the 24th Century. The weapon is particularly lethal due to its targeting sensors. Along with the actual weapon, the user wears a headset that enables him or her to scan through bulkheads. Using this sensor array, the user of a TR-116 can easily located the target. Once the target has been acquired, the operator fires the weapon. On the end is a micro-transporter that "beams" the expended projectile to within striking distance of the target, allowing simple physics to continue the projectile's path to the victim. Users of this weapon are generally difficult to find due to the nature of the sensor array. An operator can in essence be on the other side of a station or a planet and kill their target with ease.
